Most people have major questions about why they should believe that there is a higher power than themselves. However, if you really think about it; you may ask, “How isn’t there a higher presence at work within our world?” We often feel that even though we control our own homes and such; we have no control over the world outside our walls. Once you look at the bigger picture of how we all seem to be set on sabotaging someone else’s world, you see that we have a direct impact on everything around us.
Your Overall Impact
For instance, one of the best webinars so far was focused on how we often miscommunicate with others. Our words can help or hinder the progress of someone else and a simple miscommunication with someone can result in their own devastation. You may not even realize that your words had a negative impact, but the other person may have been deeply troubled. If they do not say anything and you do not realize it; how will it be changed? Think about the last time you said something to your partner and it escalated into a negative encounter. Did it start out as something negative or were you simply trying to explain your reasons for your thoughts at that time?
Try Communicating More Effectively
Instead of the fighting, we should practice deeper listening, speaking our thoughts clearly, and seeking out the right answers to our most asked questions. It should become second nature to us and then it will create a more positive and fulfilling environment for us to thrive within our household. From there, you can take it with you on the streets and into your interactions with others. Instead of yelling at a slow fast food server, acknowledge that she depends on the workers in the back. Instead of getting frustrated at the elderly woman at the grocery store who is taking her time, acknowledge that she is older, slower, and likely doesn’t get out much. When you eliminate the “frustrations” within yourself, you are creating a better world since they can have a more enjoyable day, and they will take it home with them as well.
Healing Your Mind
Your mind is a wonderful place and as people we have barely scratched the surface of what we can achieve with our mind. It can even heal the body if you give it the power to do so. There are two thoughts that you are encouraged to embrace as a part of opening your life to New Thoughts. One is that the divine is in all things. There is a greater power at work in all of us. The second is that the power of the mind is more powerful and real than all things matter. With these two thoughts a part of your everyday life, you can change the life that you live in more ways than you will ever believe possible.
